What happens to your photos

When you choose to enhance a photo, that photo is sent to our third-party AI provider, Google (Gemini API), to generate the enhanced image. SYLVEI does not store your photos on our servers, we never use them to train any model, and we never sell them. See "AI processing and third-party sharing" below for details.

Information we collect

• Photos you enhance. When you enhance a photo, it is sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini) only to generate the result, and is not stored by us. See "AI processing and third-party sharing" below.
• Purchase information. Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store. Apple processes your payment; we receive your subscription status, not your card or bank details.
• Basic app data. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We may receive limited technical information through the App Store, such as your app version or crash reports, to keep SYLVEI working.

How we use information

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Manage your subscription and purchases
• Respond to support requests and communicate with you
• Keep the Service secure and working, and fix problems
• Comply with legal obligations

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:

• Google (Gemini API), which processes the photo you select in order to generate your enhanced image
• Apple, for App Store purchases and subscription management
• Cloud hosting for our website (Vercel)
• Authorities or others where required by law, or to protect rights and safety

AI processing and third-party sharing

To enhance your photos, SYLVEI sends the photo you select to our third-party AI provider, Google (Gemini API). Only the selected photo is transmitted. It is used solely to generate the enhanced image and is not stored by SYLVEI or used for any other purpose. Google processes the image under its own privacy terms. We ask for your explicit consent within the app before sending any photo.

Face data

SYLVEI does not collect, process, or store facial recognition or biometric face data. Photos may contain faces, but no facial data is extracted, mapped, or analyzed for identification.

Data retention

• Photos: sent to our AI provider only to generate your enhanced image, and not stored by us.
• Subscription and support data: kept only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy or as required by law, then deleted or anonymized.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the EEA or UK, these rights arise under the GDPR. If you are in California, under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

To exercise any right, contact us at contact@sylvei.com. You can also delete the app and cancel your subscription at any time from your Apple ID settings.

Children's privacy

SYLVEI is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

If any data is processed in a country other than your own, we use appropriate safeguards where required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
